[ By the time Dave arrives, Dirk's heated up some canned ravioli over a fire on the roof. Not the best of meals, but it's fucking five-star compared to the beans he usually makes. He's waiting in Dave's apartment. ]

[Dave was decent enough to get clothes on before arriving back. He kind of just drags himself in. He's been doing the thinking thing and it isn't really the best idea. He's figuring that out quickly, but still trying.]

[ Dirk's wearing an apron and a pair of oven mitts when Dave enters the apartment, hoping to at least get a laugh out of his bro. The guy obviously feels guilty over something that might not have even been his doing, and Dirk doesn't like that. ]

[Dave would fine it hilariously ironic, but just seeing Dirk kind of makes Dave feel worst.

Even if he wasn't in his right mind or it wasn't him. It still betrayed Dirk's trust and he couldn't just push the blame off himself.]

[ He places the food he's prepared, along with a glass of water, down on the living room table and gestures to it. ]

Sit down, I'll get your slippers.

[It's probably odd. Seeing Dave this bare. It's a lot like when Dave had that breakdown, but he isn't crying this time. There was just an obvious regret and guilt in that apology and it showed clearly on Dave's face without a pair of shades to hide behind.]

[ It hurts to hear, to see that on Dave's face. Dirk pulls the oven mitts off and tosses them onto the table, standing back to give Dave his space. ]

I don't blame you.

That doesn't change the fact that it still happened.

[The worst part is that they both know that Dave couldn't have stopped himself. If that was even actually him. Dave still wasn't sure exactly what really happened.]

I guess that's true. [Nothing Dirk says will probably make Dave feel better about what happened though. He kind of just keeps looking at his hands.]
