I'm open to seeing opinions and what others have to say though! If you think any of my headcanon goes against what canon is shown or said about Alpha!Dave, I would really like to know so I can fix it!

your anon isn't enabled and IP logging isn't off, but this isn't really harsh critique or anything.

you have dave's age wrong in comparison to his canon point, according to his app. you say he is in his 'mid 30s to early 40s' but that his canon point is 'post death, right after his battle against the condesce'. this doesn't line up with what we know in canon. on this page, you can see that post-scratch dave and rose arrive on earth at a point on the timeline that is equivalent to the late 1970s or early 1980s (examine the scale and the way they are spaced out compared to grandma/poppop and jake/jane).

on this page, november 11th, 2011 is stated as the date when the condesce came out publicly with her intentions. this would have made dave and rose, at the very least, between 30-36 at the time. dirk describes the condesce's rise to power as 'gradual'; here he says it takes 'twenty-some years' for her to completely access her seat of power, which would be in 2031 or so. here, dirk also mentions the 'decades which immediately followed the rebranding', which took place on 11/11/11.

here, it's stated that ICP took presidency in 2024, and here, dirk states that they had 'several gruelling terms'. one presidential term is 4 years. if we assume that 'several' means, at the very least, 3 terms, that's 12 years right there, bringing the year of dave's challenge up to (at the very, very least) 2036.

with a late 70s/early 80s birthdate in mind, this would have made dave anywhere from 55 (at least) to 60+ at the time of his death. the very lowest i would go on an estimate of his age at this canon point would be about 52, though that is very unlikely and he was probably closer to his late 50s/early 60s.

this isn't a matter of interpretation; it's math that's easily discerned by examining canon. i think you may have to do some retconning. hope this helps you, though. it's kind of cool to see someone play alpha dave.

Oh gosh, I didn't realize it was off! I'll go fix that right now. I thought IP logging was off but I guess when I did some updating, they must have turned themselves on/off again. Argh. I'm really sorry for that!

No no, I actually realized his age was off after the app got accepted and he got the toe tag! I know he's in his 50s and it reflects in his tags now that he's in his 50s. I was super embarrassed and I was talking with some castmates about it. I didn't want to bother the mods over the age thing since it seemed trivial to change the tag just because his age should be listed different and I'm playing it off as they just got it wrong because time shenanigans or something. If it bothers you that I'm playing it that way, I'd be more than happy to see if the mods will take the time to redo his tag.

What ended up happening was I took his age from 11/11/11 but forgot that the presidency thing happened much later so his death happened much later. I kind of just smacked my head against my computer because it was a really dumb mess up on my part! But he is being played at being in his mid 50s.

oh, don't worry about it! i'm glad you noticed and as long as you're playing him like that anyway, that's all that matters. i'm just glad you aren't shying away from alpha!dave being a cool old guy rather than a cool young guy, which i think some more superficial members of the fandom have avoided in the past.

I love that he's actually some really cool old geezer. It's the best part about him. Man who doesn't want a guy who basically aged like Micheal J. Fox of John Stewart?
